NAU’s Jalon Clark Signs for Azerbaijan Basketball League

North American University’s basketball star, Jalon Clark, is taking his talents to the international stage! Clark has signed a one-year contract with Sumqayit BK, a top-tier team in Azerbaijan’s prestigious Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL). Known for his incredible versatility at guard/forward, Clark was a key player for NAU’s basketball team, leading the Stallions to a 4th place finish in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC).
During his time at NAU, Clark averaged 16.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and had a remarkable 51.2% field goal shooting percentage. His hard work and performance also earned him the top spot in Player Efficiency at the 2024 EuroBasket Dallas ESL, catching the attention of international scouts.
“This is a proud moment for NAU basketball. Jalon has worked incredibly hard, and we’re confident he’ll excel in Azerbaijan”, said Coach Doze.
The Adidas Eurocamp, held in Cleveland, Ohio, is a premier pre-draft scouting event. Keiarra stood out by scoring 17 points and earning a performance efficiency rating of 13 in one game. Keiarra attributes her grounding to her faith. When asked by NAU’s Director of Admissions, Mr. Donald Gary, she emphasized that her faith provides her with purpose and support, guiding her with integrity and hard work.
This move is a testament to NAU’s commitment to developing elite talent and pushing players to achieve new heights. Clark’s signing is not just a win for him but a proud milestone for North American University basketball.
Clark is set to join Sumqayit BK for the 2024–2025 ABL season, where he’ll face top talent from across Europe. The NAU community is eager to see him succeed as he represents Stallions basketball on the global stage.
