What is Canvas?

Canvas is the Learning Management System (LMS) used at NAU to provide students and faculty with an intuitive platform for course delivery, communication, and academic support.

Faculty

How to Access NAU Canvas through Microsoft 365

  • Go to Microsoft 365 and log in using your NAU credentials (your NAU email and password).
  • Once logged in, locate the Canvas icon in the list of available applications.
  • If you don’t see the Canvas icon immediately, click on “All Apps” to view the full list of applications.
  • Click on the Canvas icon to be directed to the NAU Canvas portal.
  • You will be automatically logged in to Canvas and can begin accessing your courses, assignments, and other resources.
